QuickFile365 is available on Microsoft AppSource. However, due to some limitations, the AppSource version does not support the Send and File feature.
To use the full functionality, including Send and File, you must install the custom manifest by sideloading it manually.
Step 1: Download the custom manifest
Click the link below to access the manifest file:
http://customer_resources.s3.us-east-1.amazonaws.com/QuickFile365/Manifest/QuickFile365_SmartAlert.xml
When you open the link, the file may display as text in your browser.
If this happens:
- Right-click anywhere on the page
- Select Save As
- Save the file to your computer as QuickFile365_SmartAlert.xml
- Make sure the file type is saved as .xml
Step 2: Install (Sideload) the Manifest
2.1 First, uninstall the AppSource version (if installed)
If you already have QuickFile365 installed from Microsoft AppSource, you must uninstall it before sideloading the custom manifest. Having both versions installed can cause conflicts.
- Open your preferred browser and go to:
https://aka.ms/olksideload - In the Add-ins for Outlook window, select My add-ins
- Find QuickFile365 in your list of installed add-ins
- Click the ellipsis (...) next to the add-in
- Select Remove
- Confirm the removal when prompted
2.2 Now install the custom manifest
- In the same My add-ins screen, scroll down to the Custom add-ins section
- Click Add a custom add-in, then choose Add from file
- Browse to the downloaded QuickFile365_SmartAlert.xml file
- Click Open to complete the installation

- Click on the Install button on the dialog shown
Once installed, QuickFile365 will load with the full Send and File feature enabled.
