How to Manually Clear the EmailMerge365 Outlook Add-in Cache (Windows)

If EmailMerge365 is not loading correctly or displaying outdated information, clearing the Outlook add-in cache may resolve the issue.

Before clearing the cache, first try removing the sideloaded add-in if applicable.
 
Classic Outlook on Windows
Step 1: Close Outlook
  • Close Microsoft Outlook completely
  • Open Task Manager and ensure no Outlook.exe processes are running
 
Step 2: Clear the Wef Cache Folder
  • Press Windows + R
  • Open the following folder:
    %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Wef\
  • Delete all contents inside the folder
 
Step 3: Clear the HubAppFileCache Folder
%userprofile%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\HubAppFileCache
Delete all contents inside the folder.
 
Step 4: Restart Outlook
  • Reopen Outlook and launch EmailMerge365 again.
  • Outlook will automatically rebuild the cache.
 
If the Issue Persists
  • Restart your computer
  • Sign out and back into Outlook
  • Reinstall the EmailMerge365 add-in if needed
  • Contact your IT administrator or support team
