To deploy the correct SendGuard MSI installers, and assign licenses via Microsoft InTune, please follow the steps below:
Step 1: Intune Deployment for SendGuard (Default) MSI
1. Download the SendGuard MSI (installer file):
3. Go to Apps > All apps and click Create.
4. To make a choice, click the Select app type dropdown and select Line-of-business app under Others. Click the Select button.
5. Click on Select app package file.
6. Select the .msi file (downloaded from step 1) and click OK. (Ensure to select the correct bitness of the MSI depending on the bitness of Office deployed to your users).
7. Fill out the details as shown below and click Next.
- App Information.
- Publisher: Standss (South Pacific) PTE Limited
- App install context: Device
- Assignments.
- Add appropriate users/groups/devices whom you want to deploy SendGuard.
- Review + Create.
- Review the summary of the package and click on Create.
Note: The app might take 8 hours to propagate to the client machines, usually when client sign-in to their Windows profile. Read More.
Step 2: Intune Deployment for SendGuard Subscription ID
1. Create a folder named Intune App on the C: drive.
2. Inside the Intune App folder, create another folder named Packages.
5. Go to C:\Intune App\IntunesFolder.
6. Open the Apply_SendGuard_SubscriptionID Windows PowerShell script using Notepad++.
7. Enter your SendGuard Subscription ID in the SubscriptionId field.
8. Press Ctrl + S to save the changes, then close the window.
9. Run IntuneWinAppUtil.exe, as Administrator, and follow the instructions:
- Please specify the source folder: C:\Intune App\IntunesFolder
- Please specify the setup file: Apply_SendGuard_SubscriptionID.cmd
- Please specify the output folder: C:\Intune App\Packages
- Do you want to specify catalog folder (Y/N)? N
10. The Apply_SendGuard_Settings.intunewin package is now ready for deployment via Intune.
12. Go to Apps > All apps and click Create -> App Type, Select Windows App (Win32).
13. Click on Select app package file.
14. In C:\Intune App\Packages, select the Apply_SendGuard_SubscriptionID.intunewin that was created.
15. Click OK and fill in the details as shown below for:
- App Information.
- Publisher: Standss (South Pacific) PTE Limited
- Program.
- Install command: Apply_SendGuard_SubscriptionID.cmd
- Uninstall Command: Uninstall_SendGuard_Settings.cmd
- Install behavior: System
- Requirements.
- Check operating system architecture: No. Allow this app to be installed on all systems.
- Minimum operating system: Windows 10 20H2.
- Detection Rules.
- Rules Format: Use a custom detection script
- Script file: C:\IntuneApp\IntunesFolder\Detect-SendGuardSubscriptionID (You can directly paste this path in the File name field of the file picker)
- Dependencies - Click Next.
- Supersedence - Click Next.
- Assignments.
- Add appropriate users/groups/devices whom you want to deploy SendGuard.
16. Click Create to complete the deployment setup.
